Louisiana State Police responded to a motorcycle crash that claimed a life. The victim was identified as 53-year-old Edward McMillian of Jarreau.
According to the state police, McMillian was driving north on LA 78 on his 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle when it went off the road.
Troopers said McMillian went into a ditch and struck a private driveway.
McMillian was pronounced dead following the crash.
A routine toxicology sample was obtained and sent for analysis. An investigation into the crash is under review.
