52-year-old woman hospitalized following an auto-pedestrian accident in San Antonio (San Antonio, TX)

A 52-year-old woman was injured after being hit by a vehicle early Sunday morning in San Antonio.

As per the initial information, the authorities actively responded to the 4900 block of S Flores on the Southside at about 1:13 a.m. on reports of an auto-pedestrian accident. On arrival, responding officers found a 52-year-old woman with a head injury.

The early reports showed that driver of a gray vehicle was heading Southbound on S Flores when the woman crossed the street outside of a crosswalk, not looking both ways before she crossed. The victim was transported to a hospital with a head injury, but in stable condition.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Alcohol was not involved in the crash. The driver was released at the scene and no charges are pending. No other information is available.

The incident remains under investigation.
