On Wednesday morning, 52-year-old Bobby Boyd, of Baton Rouge, lost his life following a traffic collision along Ascension Highway.
As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle crash took place at about 7:30 a.m. along LA 621 near LA 44. The early reports indicated that a vehicle swerved off the road and hit a culvert along a highway in Ascension Parish.
Bobby Boyd suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. It is unknown why the vehicle went off the road. No other details were released by the authorities.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
