51-year-old Michelle A Armenta killed after an auto-pedestrian crash in Tucson (Tucson, AZ)

Authorities identified 51-year-old Michelle A Armenta as the woman who lost her life after being hit by a vehicle on Saturday in Tucson.

The fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place at around 10:55 p.m. near Oracle Road and Wetmore Road. According to the investigation reports, Michelle A Armenta was pushing a shopping cart in the roadway when a black 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage struck her for undetermined reasons. The woman died of her injuries after the collision.

The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. According to the officials, the driver was not at fault. Authorities have not issued any charges or citations against the driver. No other information has been provided.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
