According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorcycle accident occurred in Riverside County on Thursday. The crash happened on Interstate 10 near Monterey Avenue in Thousand Palms at around 9:30 a.m.
According to the investigators, a 2021 Harley-Davidson and a 2012 Harley-Davison were involved in the collision. The events leading up to the collision are not yet known at this time.
The officials stated that a 51-year-old was identified as one of the motorcyclists who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Riverside County Police Department did not reveal the identity and the name of the unknown deceased person.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
