50-Year-Old Woman Killed In A Hit-And-Run Accident In Antioch (Antioch, CA)

The police reported a hit-and-run accident on Tuesday in Antioch. 

The officials stated that the crash happened on Contra Coma Boulevard and Buchanan Road when a 50-year-old woman was walking in the crosswalk at around 11:05 p.m. 

The officials found the victim about 50 yards away from the intersection. 

Officer Darryl Saffold stated that the woman was alive when they arrived at the scene. 

The medic attempted life-saving measures before transporting her to the hospital. 

The authorities at the hospital declared her dead. 

The officials are yet to identify the deceased victim. 

The driver was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the accident. 

No additional information relating to the fatal crash was provided by the officials.
