Authorities identified 49-year-old Robby Pearson as the man who died of injuries he suffered following a two-vehicle collision on Saturday in Spokane Valley.
The fatal motorcycle crash took place near the Spokane Valley Eagles Club, 16801 East Sprague, at approximately 8:20 p.m. According to the investigation reports, 61-year-old Bonita Powers’ SUV was turning left to head east on East Sprague while Pearson was traveling west when the accident happened.
Pearson was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, including several skull fractures and brain damage. He succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday. Bonita Powers was booked into the Spokane County Jail on suspicion of vehicular homicide.
Powers informed the officers that she did not have as much room as she thought. A breath test displayed Powers had a blood alcohol content of .144, exceeding Washington’s .08 legal limit. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
