Authorities identified 49-year-old David Belter as the victim who died and 22-year-old Kendall Lauren Batchelor, from San Antonio, as the woman who suffered injuries following a wrong-way collision on Thursday night outside Boerne.
The fatal car crash took place on State Highway 46 a little before 10 p.m. According to the investigation reports, Batchelor was driving an F-150 truck west in the eastbound lane when her vehicle crashed head-on into a Sedan.
On arrival, emergency crews transported Kendall Lauren Batchelor to University Hospital in San Antonio with unspecified injuries. The driver of the other vehicle, 49-year-old David Belter, succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Batchelor’s condition is unknown at this time. It is also unclear if Batchelor had been charged in connection to the fatal crash. No other details are made available.
The crash remains under active investigation.
