48-year-old Robert Moore died after a motorcycle crash in Phoenix (Phoenix, AZ)

Authorities identified 48-year-old Robert Moore as the man who lost his life following a two-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon in Phoenix.

As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place near 18th Street and Southern Avenue at about 3 p.m. The preliminary reports showed that a 29-year-old David Moreno was driving a sedan when he turned and struck 48-year-old Robert Moore. Moore was ejected from his motorcycle and landed on the roof of Moreno’s car.

The reports further revealed that Moreno stopped for a moment after the collision, but then began driving again. Moreno then crashed into two other cars and Moore fell from the roof. Witnesses chased Moreno’s sedan and he was detained shortly afterwards. According to officers, Moreno displayed “signs of impairment” and was booked into jail. Moore succumbed to his injuries at the scene. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
