A 47-year-old man lost his life following a two-vehicle accident Friday on the North Freeway.
As per the initial information, the authorities actively responded to the I-45 North Freeway at Gulf Bank Road at about 12:45 a.m. in response to a motorcycle crash. The preliminary reports showed that a motorcycle ridden by a 47-year-old man was heading northbound on the freeway when it rear-ended a silver Porsche Boxster, which was also going northbound.
The man was thrown from his motorcycle due to the impact. He was declared dead at the scene. The female driver and passenger in the Porsche remained unharmed in the accident. The driver was interviewed, determined not to be impaired and released. The freeway at West Gulf Bank was blocked for about three hours while crews worked at the scene. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
