46-year-old William Wantuck and 32-year-old Harley Laughlin dead in Bridge City motorcycle crash (Bridge City, TX)

Authorities identified 46-year-old William Wantuck, of Orange, and 32-year-old Harley Laughlin, from Buna, as the two victims who lost their lives following a two-vehicle accident Thursday morning near Bridge City.

As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place on Texas 87, just north of Texas 62. The preliminary reports showed that a motorcycle was heading north at about 6:30 a.m. It was further reported that a Dodge SUV pulled onto Texas 87 from Gaylynn Drive and the motorcycle crashed into the SUV.

The driver of the 2014 Yamaha motorcycle, identified as 46-year-old William Wantuck, was declared dead at the scene by a justice of the peace. The driver of the SUV and one child passenger were rushed to a Beaumont hospital for treatment.

There was one other child passenger who remained unharmed in the collision. The driver of the 2010 Dodge SUV, identified as 32-year-old Harley Laughlin was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital, where she died of her injuries. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
