46-Year-Old Man Killed In A Pedestrian Accident In Bakersfield (Bakersfield, CA)

The California Highway Patrol reported a pedestrian accident in Bakersfield that killed a 46-year-old man on Tuesday. The accident occurred on Highway 99 at the 13th Avenue off-ramp.

Roughly at 7:48 p.m., a 46-year-old man intentionally walked into the highway, where he was struck by a vehicle that was traveling northbound on the same lane. The officials have not disclosed any details regarding the vehicle involved in the collision. 

The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
