According to the Houston Police, a hit-and-run accident occurred in Houston on Tuesday night.
The crash happened along west Dallas street near Montrose Boulevard at around 8 p.m.
According to the police, a Mercedes E-class Sedan and a bicycle were involved in the collision.
The bicyclist was traveling with the group, lost control, and fell. The driver of the Mercedes tried to speed away, hit the victim, and fled away.
45-year-old Shane McKinney was identified as the victim suffering major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
