According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a motor vehicle accident occurred in Arlington on Monday. The crash happened on Interstate 20 near Green Oaks Boulevard.
According to the investigators, a black 1997 Toyota 4Runner and a 45-year-old were involved in the collision. The driver of the Toyota lost control of its vehicle, slid into a guardrail, went airborne, and rolled down an embankment.
A 45-year-old man was identified as the driver of the Toyota who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the driver has not been disclosed.
According to the deputies, it is unclear what caused the crash and if drugs or alcohol were a factor involved. The accident is still being investigated. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
