45-year-old Jorge Marin, driver of 2016 semi was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 2022 semi-driver is being treated for minor injuries.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
According to Texas DPS, it is unclear why Marin chose to use the northbound lane while heading south.
The fatal crash is being visited by the police.
