According to the Huntington Police, a man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Saturday morning.
At around 5:30 am, a police SUV driven by a 22-years-old officer struck a pedestrian on North Pacific Avenue and Broadway in Sunset Beach.
The 45-years-old pedestrian was reported dead at the local hospital.
The officials soon declared Pedestrian as Derrick Deon Flanders of Rancho Palos Verdes.
The driver of the SUV wasn’t injured within the crash.
The investigation regarding the fatal crash is still ongoing.
