The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle crash in Wilbarger County on Sunday. The accident happened on US 70, just two miles east of Vernon.
A driver, identified as 44-year-old Ronald Briley, reportedly tensed up and grabbed his left arm while riding his motorbike, according to Texas DPS troopers. He allegedly lost control of his bike at that point, causing it to overturn, slide into the middle of the road, and collide with the centre cable barrier.
Briley was declared dead at the scene as he had incurred fatal injuries.
It is unsure whether drugs or alcohol were a factor involved in the crash. The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials.
