Authorities identified 44-year-old Michael Marx as the man who lost his life following a single-vehicle accident Sunday in Augusta.
As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place on the 1400 Blk. of Brown Road. The preliminary investigation showed that the rider was heading east on Brown Road when he failed to maintain control of his motorcycle and crashed into a ditch.
The victim, later identified as Michael Marx, of Augusta, suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. No autopsy will be completed, officials mentioned. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
