According to the police, a motor vehicle accident was reported in Nashville.
The officials reported that 44-year-old Michael Jason Brown was hit by the driver of a 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe.
The officials identified the driver of the Tahoe as 43-year-old Andreal Brooks.
According to the investigation report, Brooks was unable to avoid the collision at Elm Hill Pike near the railway tracks.
Officials reported that Brown was rushed to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he was declared dead by the authorities.
Police have charged Brooks with driving on a suspended license and for not possessing insurance.
Police stated that drugs and alcohol were not a factor involved in the fatal crash.
