Authorities identified 43-year-old Joshua Wayne Lashley as the man who lost his life following a crash Thursday evening in Taylor.
As per the initial information, the authorities actively responded to the 12400 block of U.S. Highway 79 at about 10:43 p.m. after getting reports of a motorcycle accident. The preliminary reports showed that Joshua Wayne Lashley lost control of his motorcycle as a result of which he was ejected from the bike and into the intersection of Highway 79 and County Road 101.
While in the intersection, Lashley was struck by a pickup truck driven by 48-year-old Thomas Melton. Lashley was declared dead at the scene by the officials. No additional details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
