A 43-year-old Concord man lost his life following a single-vehicle crash Saturday night on I-80 in Vallejo.
As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle accident took place on the Magazine Street on-ramp at eastbound Interstate Highway 80 in Vallejo. The preliminary reports showed that the rider was speeding when he failed to maintain control of his bike and was thrown from the Harley Davidson he was driving.
Both the motorcycle and the rider hit two roadway signs. It is unknown if drugs and alcohol were involved in the crash. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other information is available.
The accident remains under investigation.
