Authorities identified 42-year-old Anthony C Fluaitt as the man who lost his life following a single-vehicle accident on Thursday afternoon near Naches.
The fatal car crash was reported at about 4:24 p.m. on U.S. Highway 12. According to the investigation reports, 42-year-old Naches man was heading westbound on U.S. 12, approximately two miles east of Naches, when he failed to maintain control of his 2015 Kia Optima.
After that, the vehicle flipped off the side of the roadway. The car was wrecked as a result of the crash. The driver, who was not buckled up, suffered serious injuries. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, the man was declared dead at the scene.
His next of kin was notified and officers identified him as Anthony C Fluaitt. He was the sole occupant of his vehicle. It is unknown what exactly caused Fluaitt to lose control of his vehicle and swerve off the road, officials said. No other details are made available.
The crash remains under investigation.
