41-year-old Reagan Gurney died in the hospital following a bicycle crash; hit-and-run motorist sought (New Orleans, LA)

41-year-old Reagan Gurney died in a hospital following a hit-and-run accident that took place on October 8 in the Seventh Ward.

As per the initial information, the fatal bicycle crash occurred on Fri., Oct. 8 at about 9:15 p.m. at the intersection of Law and Bruzelles Streets, close to Broad Street and St. Bernard Avenue. The investigation reports showed that Gurney was in the hospital on life support since the accident.

Authorities were able to identify the suspect vehicle as a silver, possibly a Nissan Altima or Maxima. Investigators are seeking public’s help in identifying and finding the vehicle and the driver. Detectives stated that the vehicle should have heavy front-end damage.

The incident remains under active review.
