A 41-year-old man lost his life while another person received injuries following a suspected DUI crash Thursday evening in Cutler.
As per the initial information, the fatal head-on collision took place on Road 144, north of Highway 201. The preliminary reports showed that a southbound 41-year-old driver went into to the opposite travel lane and collided head-on with another vehicle.
Officials took the 41-year-old man in custody for driving impaired, and responders rushed the man to Kaweah Health Medical Center (KHMC) in Visalia, where he succumbed to his injuries a couple of hours later. The 67-year-old Honda driver was also taken to Kaweah Health with unspecified injuries. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
