According to the California Highway Patrol, a hit-and-run accident occurred in Los Angeles on Tuesday. The crash happened at Century Boulevard and Hoover Street at around 8:55 p.m.
According to the investigators, an unknown vehicle and a 41-year-old were involved in the collision. The officials stated that the unknown pedestrian was walking on the roadway and was struck by the vehicle.
A 41-year-old Arik Parker was identified as the unknown pedestrian who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Some portions of Century Boulevard and Hoover Street are blocked for further investigation.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
