According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Wednesday in Lemon Grove. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the hit-and-run accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred at the intersection of Broadway and Harris Street. A Ford F-150 pickup truck hit a victim and fled the spot of the accident.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Other insights into the collision including the identity of the victim remain unknown.
The cause of the wreck is yet to be determined. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
