According to the Phoenix police, a fatal crash was reported on Saturday evening in west Phoenix.
Authorities confirmed that a 40-year-old died due to the hit and run accident.
Officials confirmed that the collision occurred near 63rd Avenue and Palm Lane, north of McDowell Road.
The deceased man was identified as Jeremy Ortiz. Ortiz, who was in a wheelchair, was hit by a vehicle.
The vehicle sped away after committing the wreck.
Ortiz was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The crash remains under investigation by the Phoenix Police.
