Authorities identified 40-year-old Bo James Holloway as the victim who was killed following a bicycle crash Monday night in Alexandria.
As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run accident took place at about 10 p.m. in the 1200 block of MacArthur Drive, which is near Jackson Street. The preliminary investigation showed that a vehicle hit the bicycle rider for reasons that are yet to be known.
The driver of the involved vehicle drove away from the scene after the collision. Officers are looking the driver of a red or maroon Hyundai that was involved in the accident. No additional information has been provided.
The incident remains under active review.
