4-year-old child dead after being hit by a vehicle in Everett (Everett, WA)

On Friday afternoon, a 4-year-old child was killed after getting hit by a car in Everett.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place at about 4:30 p.m. at 112th Street and 19th Avenue. At this time, it is unknown if the driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene or not after the collision.

Officials have not confirmed if the driver who struck the child would face any charges.  Authorities shut down the roads in the area as crews worked at the scene. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.

The incident remains under active review.
