On Tuesday afternoon, four people suffered injuries following a multi-vehicle pile-up in south Austin.
As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of Payload pass and East Ben White Boulevard at about 3:33 p.m. after getting reports of a crash. On arrival, emergency crews provided medical aid to four people at the scene whereas one patient had to be extricated from the vehicle.
Officials asked the drivers to avoid the area and expect delays as crews worked at the scene. The identities of the victims have not been released. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear.
The wreck remains under investigation.
