4 people, including 3 children injured after a crash in Skyline (San Diego, CA)

Four people, including three children received injuries after a traffic collision Sunday in the Skyline section of San Diego.

As per the initial information, the two-vehicle accident took place about 6:50 p.m. at 6600 Skyline Drive. The preliminary reports showed that a 70-year-old man driving a 2019 Ford F250 stopped for a red light as he was headed east on Skyline Drive. The reports further revealed that the man was intending to turn right onto Woodman Street.

At some point of time, a 25-year-old man driving a 2001 Honda with three young children inside hit the back of the Ford. The children, including a pair of 3-year-olds and a 4-year-old were not properly fastened in when the collision occurred.

All three sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a hospital. The 70-year-old man in the other vehicle had a neck injury. It is unknown if the Honda driver was injured as a result of the crash. No other details have been shared.

The wreck remains under investigation.
