The Louisiana state police reported a two-vehicle accident that killed a motorcyclist in Lafourche Parish on La. Highway 20 near La. Highway 307 at around 2 p.m. Sunday.
The motorcyclist Tricia Vicknair, 39, from Schriever, was heading south on La. Highway 20 on a Kawasaki.
For unknown reasons, during a curve, the bike crossed over the centerline and into the path of a 2012 Nissan Frontier heading north.
According to the police, Vicknair was wearing safety gear at the time of the crash.
Vicknair died at the scene from his injuries.
The driver and the passenger from Nissan sustained minor injuries and were taken to a hospital.
Toxicology samples were obtained from both the drivers for analysis.
The crash is under review.
