39-year-old Nunica woman dead, 8-year-old boy injured after a two-vehicle crash in Montcalm County (Cato Township, MI)

On Sunday morning, a 39-year-old Nunica woman lost her life while her 8-year-old son suffered serious injuries following a traffic collision in Montcalm County.

As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle crash took place at about 8:30 a.m. on M-46 in Cato Township. The early reports showed that the 39-year-old woman was heading eastbound on M-46 when her vehicle went over the center line and crashed into a westbound box truck.

The woman suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the officials. Her 8-year-old son, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries. The 31-year-old driver of the box truck remained unharmed. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
