Authorities are investigating a motor vehicle crash in the 1300 block of Highway 99 at 10:10 p.m on Sunday.
According to the investigators, a 39-year-old Edmonds man was on the shoulder near a disabled car that partially blocked the right lane. He was struck by a 29-year-old Lynnwood man heading north at the time.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the Lynnwood man drove onto the shoulder and hit the 39-year-old man and the disabled car.
The 39-year-old man was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The 29-year-old remained uninjured in the crash.
Alcohol or drugs are suspected to be a factor in the crash. The crash remains under investigation by the Washington State Police.
