Authorities identified 38-year-old Martin Pedroza, from San Diego, as the man who lost his life following a crash in El Cajon.
The fatal traffic collision took place on Broadway Avenue at about 7:20 p.m. The preliminary reports showed that a vehicle driven by Pedroza crashed into parked vehicles on the westbound curb of Broadway Avenue. Pedroza was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time of the wreck.
Witnesses called 911 and crews quickly responded to the scene. EMS rushed the man to Scripps Mercy Hospital, where he was later declared dead. Martin Pedroza died from blunt force injuries to the chest and abdomen. No other details are available.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
