The Texas Department Of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle crash on Thursday early morning. The accident happened on Santa Fe County Rd at around 1:13 a.m.
DPS claims that Linda Danielle Garza, 38, of Whiteface was operating a Chevrolet C-10 when both of its tires veered off the side of the road while it was heading south.
According to DPS, Garza overcorrected to the left, causing the car to cross traffic lanes and land in a field to the east of Santa Fe Road. Her car struck a boulder before coming to a stop.
According to DPS, no seat belt was worn at the time of the fatal crash. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. There are no other details available at this time.
