The Savannah Police Department is investigating a fiery motor vehicle crash that claimed a life. The crash happened when a 20-year-old was driving on Chatham Parkway near Police Memorial Drive.
The victim was identified as Tierra Grant.
A preliminary crash report suggests that Grant was racing in a 2006 Mercedes Benz 430 with another vehicle when she lost control and struck a tree. The vehicle was engulfed in flames after the collision.
The second vehicle involved in the crash is yet to be identified. An investigation into the crash is under review.
