The Carlsbad Police Department reported a fatal crash near the intersection of Brasswood Avenue and Valley Street on Sunday.
According to the officials, a traffic collision involving an e-bike and vehicle occurred around 5:45 p.m. on Sunday.
The Police stated that a 35-year-old woman was riding an electric bicycle with a young child when a Toyota 4-Runner collided with the vehicle.
Police reported that the woman on the e-bike died from her injuries.
Police stated that a 42-year-old woman driving the Toyota was at the scene and cooperated with the police.
Carlsbad Police reported that drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the collision.
