35-Year-Old Mario Galvan Charged For Causing A Crash in Mesa (Mesa, AZ)

A man faces manslaughter charges after police say he slammed into a metal pole in Mesa on Sunday, killing his wife in the passenger seat. 

Mesa Police identified the man as 35-year-old Mario Galvan, speeding his vehicle on Southbound Gilbert road. Galvan collided with a south metal pole of Decatur. 

Officials identified the other passenger as Galvan’s wife, Kasey Galvan, who was pronounced dead at the scene. 

A video obtained by the police showed the complete damages caused by the fatal wreck

Field Sobriety Tests were conducted that confirmed clear signs of impairment.

Alcohol was the primary cause of the crash. Galvan was convicted of DUI in the Mesa city jail. Besides being held on a $250,000 bond, he has been charged with a felony count of manslaughter.
