35-year-old man seriously injured after a vehicle collided with a tree in San Diego (San Diego, CA)

A 35-year-old man received serious injuries following a crash Friday in San Diego.

As per the initial information, the solo-vehicle accident took place in the 4400 block of Nobel Drive. The early reports showed that the man was heading east in a Ford F-150 pickup when, for undetermined reasons, he lost control of his vehicle following which the pickup went off the roadway and hit a center median, then slammed into a tree.

On arrival, first responders rushed the driver to a hospital for treatment of serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The identity of the injured victim has not been released at this time. No other details are available.

The accident remains under investigation.
