On Sunday night, a 35-year-old man, from Madison, lost his life after getting hit by multiple vehicles in Nashville.
As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash took place on Highway 45 at Delaware Avenue. The preliminary investigation indicated that the man was trying to cross the highway when he got hit by a vehicle outside of a crosswalk.
A witness informed the officers that it may have been a silver 2009 Toyota Camry. After that, a second vehicle might have also hit the pedestrian before he was also struck by a white tractor trailer. None of the vehicles involved remained at the scene.
The man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Signs of alcohol were found at the scene on part of the pedestrian. Routine toxicology tests will be performed. Authorities are working to find out his next of kin at this time. No other details are immediately available.
