35-year-old man critically injured after an auto-pedestrian crash in San Antonio (San Antonio, TX)

On late Thursday night, a 35-year-old man suffered injuries after getting struck by a truck while trying to cross a street in San Antonio.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian collision took place at about 11 p.m. in the 1700 block of Fredericksburg Road, not far from North Zarzamora Street and Interstate 10, and just north of downtown. The early reports revealed that the pedestrian was trying to cross the street when he got hit by a small black truck.

The driver of the vehicle stopped to render aid and was found not to be intoxicated. No charges are expected to be filed, officials said. On arrival, emergency crews rushed the man to University Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition. The identity of the pedestrian remains unknown at this time. No other details are immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
