Officials identified 35-year-old David Rivers, of Pickton, as the man who lost his life following a rollover crash Tuesday in Hopkins County.
As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle crash took place on FM 3019, approximately seven miles north of Winnsboro at 8:15 a.m. The early reports revealed that David Rivers was heading northbound on FM 3019 in a 2005 Chevrolet C1500 when he tried to pass another vehicle.
He failed to maintain control of his pickup and the vehicle flipped over several times ejecting David Rivers. He died of his injuries as a result of the accident. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation is ongoing.
