On Friday, a 34-year-old woman lost her life following a two-vehicle accident involving a garbage truck in Huffman.

As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place in the 11300 block of FM 1960 and Grey Fox Drive at about 6:25 a.m. The preliminary investigation indicated that a 34-year-old woman was driving a black Jeep Cherokee westbound when her car went into the eastbound lanes of FM 1960.

After that, the Jeep crashed head-on into a Peterbilt garbage truck. The woman died of her injuries after the crash. The driver of the garbage truck remained unharmed in the accident and stayed at the scene. The driver was questioned by the officers then released. No other details are made available.

The crash remains under investigation.
