The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported a hit-and-run accident on Monday.
The accident occurred in the middle of the southbound Loop 101 off-ramp at Peoria Avenue just before 3 a.m.
According to the officials, a woman was found dead near her car on the side of the freeway.
The identity of the woman has not been released by the authorities.
The fatal accident is being investigated.
The officials have released a description of the suspect vehicle – a 2010-2014 Dodge Challenger. They have not given any color or license plate details but have said that the front grill hood of the car would be damaged.
It is not known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
There are no other details available at this time.
