Authorities identified 33-year-old Patrick Halliburton, from Minden, as the man who lost his life following a traffic collision on Tuesday in Claiborne Parish.
The fatal single-vehicle crash took place a little after 10 p.m. on State Highway 518 at Old Athens Road. According to the investigation reports, Halliburton was traveling west in his 2001 Ford pickup truck when the vehicle swerved off the roadway and crashed into a tree.
The driver, identified as Patrick Halliburton, was not buckled up at the time of the accident. The man suffered major injuries and was declared deceased at the scene by the officials. No other details are made available.
The crash remains under review.
