33-year-old Matthew Angel dead after a crash in Southwest Michigan (Lawrence Township, MI)

On Sunday night, 33-year-old Matthew Angel, from Bangor, lost his life following a traffic collision in Southwest Michigan.

As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle accident took place at about 7 p.m. on Red Arrow Highway near 55th Street in Lawrence Township. The preliminary investigation revealed that Angel was traveling east in a 1997 Chevrolet pickup when he went over the centerline and collided head-on with a tow truck.

Matthew Angel died of his injuries as a result of the collision. The 27-year-old South Haven man driving the tow truck was provided medical aid for minor injuries at the scene. No additional information has been released by the officials.

An investigation is continuing.
