According to the Kingsport Police Department Traffic Unit, a fatal crash occurred on Lynn Garden Drive on Monday afternoon.
At around 1 p.m. a light blue 2020 Honda Odyssey minivan driven by a 49-year-old driver struck a pedestrian on Lynn Garden Drive.
The authorities stated that the driver of the minivan was travelling lawfully when Gordon came in the middle of the road chasing after a dog.
The officials have not revealed if the dog belonged to Gordon.
Gordon was taken by Sullivan County EMS to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the minivan was not injured in the crash.
The KDP officials are investigating the pedestrian crash.
