Authorities identified 33-year-old Alfonso Silva as the man who lost his life following a rollover crash that also injured another person in Lynwood.
The fatal car crash was reported at 1:15 AM on the Long Beach Boulevard ramp from the eastbound Glenn Anderson Freeway. According to the investigation reports, a gray four-door BMW swerved off a Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway ramp and flipped multiple times down an embankment. Officials confirmed that there were two people inside the car.
Emergency responders declared 33-year-old Alfonso Silva dead at the scene and transported one person to the hospital with traumatic injuries. According to the BMW Emergency Center, the vehicle’s emergency signal showed that it flipped over several times deploying airbags. Caltrans crews were called to the scene to repair damage to a concrete barrier and guardrail. No other details are immediately available.
