Authorities identified 32-year-old Marco Sotelo as the man who lost his life following a two-vehicle accident Tuesday in Las Vegas that claimed the life of another person.
The fatal car crash happened at around 12:05 a.m. on Interstate 15, south of Silverado Ranch Boulevard. The preliminary reports showed that a white Honda Accord was driven in a reckless manner when it struck a semi tractor-trailer.
On arrival, first responders rushed the male Honda driver to University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. The Honda’s male passenger was not buckled up at the time of the collision, and was thrown from the vehicle due to the impact.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Hannah Marie Brown Elementary School principal said that Sotelo was their lead custodian. The semi-truck driver remained unharmed in the accident. Officers believe that impairment was involved in the wreck. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
